Fresh Stuff from Band of Horses

It’s been 10 years since Band of Horses dropped its renowned debut album, Everything All the Time. In that time, the band has carved a unique niche for itself bridging Americana, rock and roots.

On its latest, Why Are You Ok, the band, led by frontman Ben Bridwell, delves more personal territory. As Bridwell told Consequence of Sound:

“[S]ince we’ve had a full launch, and in that space and time we’ve had more kids, our families have grown, our bodies have aged.” He adds that the record allowed him to experiment and follow his own creative instincts saying, “There were times on this record where I could’ve settled for the safer route or even just got things done in a more timely manner…I think that led to better work. I’m most proud that I didn’t back down from what I knew was the way to go.”
