Emmylou and Rodney Crowell Do It Again
What do you do when you win a Grammy award for Best Americana Album? Follow it up with another album, of course.
Such is the case with longtime friends Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell on The Traveling Kind, their new album.
Produced by Grammy Award winner Joe Henry the album features six new songs written by Harris and Crowell with co-writing by Mary Carr, Cory Chisel, Will Jennings, and Larry Klein, as well as new renditions of the Crowell song “No Memories Hanging Around,” a cover of Lucinda Williams’ “I Just Wanted to See You So Bad,” and more.
For the old pals, this new chapter is full of joy and fun. As Harris put it:
“In the words of Willie Nelson, ‘The life I love is making music with my friends,’ and there’s no better friend for me to make music with than Rodney. I can’t wait to get out there on the road with him and play the songs from this new record.”
