Halloween might be over, but those of us with the true spirit know the other 364 days are perfect opportunities to keep the faith alive. Don’t believe me? Just ask the audiophiles at Third Man Records who recently released a wickedly sinister 7-inch single by the Mistress of the Dark herself, Elvira.

Yes, the buxom beauty, who first appeared as the self-proclaimed “hostess with the mostess” in 1981’s, Elvira’s Movie Macabre, and starred in her own 1988 movie, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, can now boast an extra seven inches under her belt. . .*ahem.*

Cut on purple vinyl, the A side is a number about Elvira’s greatest assesss, her “Two Big Pumpkins.” The B side is an equally fun and cheesey jam called, “The Thirteen Nights of Halloween” that—you guessed it!—follows in the rhyme of its famous Christmas sister. Fans who can’t stop staring at Elvira’s massive world will have fun flipping between the tracks that were written by the one and only Fred Schneider from a little 1980s band called the B-52s. I mean really, how much cooler can you get?!?

Oh, that’s right. It CAN get cooler and is! The cover features a blacked-out picture of the “woman with the zonkers that will drive you bonkers” which is only visible through heat sensitivity. Yes, that’s right. Wherever you rub, Elvira will be hot under your touch. That’s enough to make any boy or ghoul smile with unpleasant dreams!
