Yesterday, the New York Times posted an op-doc animation about the late-J.J. Cale and why, although he wrote mega-hit songs including “After Midnight,” “Call Me the Breeze” and “Cocaine” he never became a big star. The video is very cool and if you didn’t already have an appreciation for Cale, his music and his ethos, you will now.
