Spike the Eggnog: A Holiday Playlist

Yes, boils and ghouls, it’s that time once again. That special moment in human society when we let the petty bullshit wash away and we focus on the important things in life: consumerism and random acts of violence perpetrated against one another in order to buy that special Tickle-Me-Elmo-Xbox-Kinect-Pokemon-Justin-Bieber-lock-of-hair the kiddies always wanted. Yes, the holidays are here and no matter what you practice, it’s always a hectic time of year. But if you’re like me, the worst part about the holidays is the music; so here’s a 13 song playlist (38 minutes roughly) chock full of my favorite ditties about—and against—the holidays with not a single carol on board. Some you’ll know, others you’ll be discovering, but best of all, it’s a great soundtrack to shove aside all the holiday shoppers. So light that last smoke, pop in the ear buds, grab a flask of whiskey and start spiking the eggnog because Santa Claus is coming to town and he’s a vengeful sonofabitch. Cheers from Neverland.
